The District Welfare Office, Deogarh started functioning w.e.f. 01.01.1994 after creation of Deogarh District vide Government Notification No 56413/R., dt.22.12.1993.
One Residential High school at Kansar and one Ashram school at Parposi under Tileibani of Deogarh District are functioning in Deogarh district.
Besides 5 nos. of U.P. Sevashrams (Non-Residential) are functioning in Barkote Block of Deogarh District which are given below:-

2- Kaliapal Sevashram.
3- Khulundikudar Sevashram.
4- Dimiriposi Sevashram.
5- Goyalmara Sevashram.

It is seen that arrear dues for the year 2004-05 are lying pending and requirement has been sent to Government vide letter No.1111 dt.31.10.2005. Deogarh College has returned the cheque bearing No.794303 dt.30.09.2005 amounting to Rs.6,384.00 due to non-disbursement of post matric scholarship for the year 2004-2005. The District Welfare Officer, Deogarh is advised to take appropriate action for disbursement of balance amount to the concerned students and report compliance.
