Introduction : Deogarh District has been created after bifurcation from un-divided Sambalpur district and started functioning w.e.f 01.01.1994 vide Revenue & Excise Department Notice No. 56413/R.dt.22.12.1993. This is bounded on the East & the south by Angul District , West by Sambalpur district & North by Sundargarh district

Accommodations : This District Office is functioning in the old Kachei Building constructed by the Ex-Rular of Bamara State. Th office of the Sub-Collector, District Treasury, Judiciary cours are also functioning in the same building.

District Grievance cell is functioning in this Collectorate on every working Saturday from 11.00 A.M to 1.30 P.M regularly , Collector hears the public grievance and in his absence Additional District Magistrate attends to public Grievance with all District Level Officers.. Sri B. Mahanta Dy. Collector , Collectorate assists on the grievance days.

Three nos of Grievance registers have been maintained in the Grievance Cell.
